Possehl acquires Pomini’s mixer manufacturer division
The Possehl Group is acquiring the Rubber & Plastics division of the Italian Pomini, owned by the Argentinian steel group Techint. The Rubber & Plastics division is the fourth largest manufacturer of mixing rooms for the rubber processing industry and has revenues of some €25 million. The division is based in Castellanza, Italy.
The Possehl Group has already owned the world market leader for tyre production equipment, Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH (€190 million revenues) since April 2005. The mixer technology division of Harburg-Freudenberger has revenues of €50 million.
With this acquisition Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH strengthens its successful mixing room division and simultaneously takes an active role in a consolidation phase for the rubber mixing technology market.
The acquisition is subject to the approval of the cartel authorities. Both parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
