Strong alliance for oil mill projects
Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH and Schmidt-Seeger GmbH have agreed to be joining forces as full system providers.
Hamburg/Beilngries – The two specialized plant manufacturers Schmidt-Seeger GmbH, Beilngries, and Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH, Hamburg, will in future be joining forces as full system providers for all oil extraction processes from renewable energy sources. The relevant cooperation agreement was concluded on 01 January 2009. Customers will now benefit from the complete engineering for the extraction of edible oils as well as oils for further processing of biodiesel and other industrial oils - all from a single source. This creates an advantage when it comes to safe coordination of interfaces in production processes and logistics and optimizing the customers’ plant performance.
Worldwide success
With an annual turnover of more than EUR 100 million and a workforce of 443, Schmidt-Seeger GmbH is one of the global leading suppliers of technologies for the management of grain and other bulk materials. Within the scope of the cooperation the company will also contribute to high-quality processing of oilseeds which is essential for generating premium final products.
Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH, with a workforce of approx. 1,200 worldwide, is one of the leading mechanical engineering companies and service providers in the field of rubber mixing, tire and edible oil technology. First-rate machine technology from Hamburg-Harburg like rolling mills, screw presses, conditioners and solvent extraction systems are used in numerous oil mills all over the world. With production plants in Germany, Croatia and the US as well as sites and representative offices throughout the world, the company generated sales of approx. EUR 225 million last year.
